I've been living in Colorado since 1997, ( I think my 30th move maybe?). I'm working as a home health physical therapist, with a special interest in geriatrics. I have been currently working as a travel therapist, and taking several month assignments literally across the country). I am also involved in a variety of community organizations and political causes here (I was on the state advocacy board for health care reform through Health Care for All Colorado, and specifically for single-payor delivery systems , the local Democratic Party, FORU (Friends of the Uncompaghre River), the Western Colorado Congress(a political and environmental group), a women's networking group (Women Who Wine), and some local theater (my first performance in the "Vagina Monologues", and a lead in a a couple of one act plays, and multiple roles in a Theater for Children series, and behind the scenes as a Props Mistress, at the Magic Circle Theater will get reconnected here when I am able to stay home long enough). I also continue to admin a couple of local large facebook community groups, (a large local message board, and an events page). Guess it's fair to say I stay pretty busy, but usually in a good way!
It's beautiful on the Western Slope of Colorado, great for getting out to hike, snowshoe, fish, garden etc. I try to spend as much time outdoors as I can, especially in the high country in the summer. The view from 14,000 feet is breathtaking in more ways than one! For the last few years, I have been exploring the country, and enjoying travel assignments in New Mexico, Vermont, Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, and currently Oregon. Nice to be able to spend time in different areas for several months without "commitment". I have not remarried (divorced in '89), but have had several long-time boyfriends, currently just happily single. Personally, only a few greys, but middle-aged spread has become a big problem.
I have not been able to attend the last few of reunions even though our 10th was one of the best weekends ever. Hoping for maybe a 45th or 50th?
History - lived all over the place. Attended the University of Alabama and declared several majors, but really studied party and make-do-ology. Was a Jill-of-all-trades... Married and divorced twice, no kids. Managed a gym in North Carolina and competed in bodybuilding for a while. Went back to school at Winston-Salem State, Clemson University, and Georgia State for an Exercise Science Degree then on to the Medical College of Georgia for another degree in Physical Therapy.
