I graduated from Auburn in 1981 with a BFA in visual communications. Went to work shortly thereafter with Martin Marietta in Orlando Florida. Started my own graphic design company in 1986. I've been doing this ever since.
Daughter Chelsea graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Interior Design in 2007. She currently owns her own ID firm in Atlanta and in Sarasota. She designed 8 episodes of The Property Brothers on HGTV for the 2014 season. Chelsea and Reese were married in the summer of 2009 in Mexico.
Son Alex graduated from the University of Tampa (FL) in Business. He is currently a fine paper and packaging specialist for Mac Papers in Orlando. Alex and his wife, Shelby, married in October of 2012 near Orlando. We couldn't be happier with either of our kids' choices.
Steve and I still love living in the Orlando area. I own and manage the daily creative end of Rushing & Associates Design, Inc. and Steve handles the financial and technical side. He also runs a Bed and Breakfast on our lakeside property: http://www.vrbo.com/175716
I have become a long-distance, open water swimmer, and swim almost daily in the lake behind the house with a variety of triathletes and friends, some training for ironman competitions around the globe, others just swimming for fun.
I swam around Key West in 2012 with 2 other people as a relay--12.5 miles total. A little over 4 miles each.
