I have no need to update my photo. In 1978, a year after graduation, I was finally successful in developing an economical and very effective cryogenic, halide-based “ring array” that has since maintained my physical appearance to be frozen in time, if you will; essentially unchanged from that as is depicted in the school yearbook. In 1989, further improvements consolidated within the original design allowed a significantly modified unit to be more portable, incorporating the common lawnmower as a rolling power source.
Respecting the attrition in availability of the design’s requisite (black market) phone booth, the next iteration will take advantage of the “architecture” intrinsic in 1980’s-style tanning beds, currently a boundless surplus resource. Nor will I need to stand.
